I wanted to get a sleeve to protect the surface of my balance board and give me more traction when playing various games on it, and it works great. My only complaint is that when I do certain specific yoga poses using the board (namely the ones where you only have one foot on the board and another foot on the ground way behind it or beside it), the sleeve slips just a bit and makes the pose a little more difficult to maintain. All in all though, compared to the myriad of other games that this sleeve really helps with, it was a great buy.
I love the wii balance board silicone sleeve because it is soft and you dont have to worry about slipping off the balance board while exercising.
As others has stated I was a little skeptical about the durability of this product but after carefully putting it on the Wii board and doing a few exercises it feels and looks great. The added cushion is immediately felt and comfortable. I bought the glow in the dark one as an added special effect and again it is durable and works well. Just remember to be careful on installation, treat it like a baby and it should last you a long time.
The idea behind this sleeve is promising. Rolling and unrolling the mat each day is a chore and I hoped that this pretty little sleeve would solve the problem.I got my pink silicone sleeve as a Christmas present and was impressed with how easily it went on the balance board and how perfectly it fit. I have used my balance board with a yoga mat over it for the past year. In part, I used the mat to cushion my hands and in part, as a grip for my feet. I was less impressed with the cushion that it provided for my hands (not much) and disappointed to find that not only doesn't it provide any purchase for my feet but actually bunches up under them if I'm using a lot of pressure. If this isn't what it was intended for, then what.
This not only helps me keep from slipping but it keeps my board clean. It is fabulous.
